A Personal Story
My grandfather used to spend hours every year visiting the bank just to submit his Life Certificate. Without submitting it, his pension would stop.
Standing in queues, traveling to the bank, and waiting for verification had become a yearly routine.
Recently, I helped him complete the entire process from home in just 5 minutes using a mobile phone.
Here’s exactly how it works.
What Is a Digital Life Certificate (DLC)?
A Digital Life Certificate allows pensioners to verify their identity online without physically visiting a bank or pension office. Once submitted successfully, the certificate is automatically updated with the bank.
Step-by-Step Guide to Submit Life Certificate Online
Step 1: Download Required Apps
Install the following apps from the Google Play Store:
- AadhaarFaceRD – Official UIDAI driver used for face authentication
- Jeevan Pramaan Face App
Step 2: Enter Required Details
Open the Jeevan Pramaan Face App and enter:
- Pensioner’s Aadhaar number
- Pension Payment Number
Step 3: Face Authentication
The app will guide the pensioner to:
- Look directly into the camera
- Blink during scanning
Once the face scan is completed successfully, the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) is generated instantly and automatically updated with the bank.
How to Confirm Successful Submission
SMS Confirmation
Within minutes of successful verification, the pensioner receives an SMS from “NIC” or “Jeevan Pramaan” containing a unique Pramaan ID.
Online Status Check
- Visit the official Jeevan Pramaan portal.
- Click on “Download Certificate” or “Pensioner Login.”
- Enter the Pramaan ID and the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
- If the status shows “Accepted,” it means the bank has received the certificate.
Conclusion
Submitting a Life Certificate no longer requires visiting a bank or standing in long queues. Using the Jeevan Pramaan Face App, pensioners can complete the entire process from home within minutes, making pension verification faster and more convenient.
